This tour offers super - value and an opportunity to cover a lot of ground on your Segway. It is perfect for (first-timers) as it will allow you time to become a Segway pro. Additionally, this tour enables you to see "most" of what Prague has to offer. As for experienced riders, this will be a great tour for you as well, but our will be best - given your experience already (especially during the summer months). Time spent on this tour will be a nice ride to the Castle District, in addition to a "cross-over" to another of my favorite attractions (Strahov - Monastery) en route to Petrin Park, where they have one of the best IPA's (beer) I've ever had. They brew it fresh, so hopefully when you visit there on foot, they will have it available.
You can start from your hotel (Prague-1) or our meeting point (whichever is closer) near Municipal House where you will get acquainted with your Segway, then your Segway Tour in Prague will set off towards the Vltava River and stop for photos at the Rudolfinum. Next up, you'll cross Manes bridge where you'll be able to see a beautiful view of the Prague Castle perched high ontop the Castle Grounds. A great view of the World War II memorial monument will present itself on this ride. Next up - the provocative - Kafka Museum with a look at "Proudy" (two men peeing into a fountain in the shape of the Czech Republic). After taking some funny and risque photos here, it's on to see Lover's Bridge and John Lennon Wall through a beautiful picturesque view of Charles Bridge. From there, you'll begin your ascend to the Prague Castle by first passing (one of two) St. Nicholas Churches where it is rumoured to have been a "look-out" to spy on the American Embassy (during the cold - war) directly located within 200 meters. You'll pass a monument in memory of all the people who died from the "Bubonic Plague" (or Black Death) where a third of Prague's population lost their lives. Then you'll continue up to the Prague Castle where you'll learn more interesting and noteworthy history about Prague, and have the ability to disembark to take as many photos as you wish, plus your guide will provide photos as well.
From there, you'll travel over towards Petrin Park, but first you'll make a quick stop at Schwarzenberg Palace where you'll learn a little more history, take a few photos, then back on the trail again towards the other side of the Castle District - including Strahof Monastery (which contains a magnificant library founded in 1143) and Petrin Park. Here you'll visit the highest peak in Prague where Petrin Tower (a rendition of Eiffel Tower) is located for some terrific scenerary including some of the most picturesque views in Prague. Then you'll make your way down the windy trails through Petrin Park towards Old Town where you'll stop off at the Memorial of the victims of Communism for a little history and photo taking.
You next stop will be National Theatre - a national treasure all on it's own for another fabulous photo stop and brief education. Then you'll be on your way towards Old Town en route to one of Praguesegway.com's Tour favourites - The Estates Threatre (or Stavovske Theatre - in Czech). This is the "last" free standing concert hall in the world where Mozart had played. In fact, two of his world premiers opened there, including the famous - Don Giovanni (10/29/1787) - which Mozart himself conducted. A true world gem for sure! Your Segway Tour in Prague will then head to Powder Tower and Municipal House for some additional photo opportunities and history and afterwards a nice beverage will be awaiting you at the office. You're pictures will be compiled and later emailed to you for download later that evening. Still interested in more?? Great! Have a look at what many customers believe to be the best Segway Tour value in Prague with Praguesegway.com's (3 - hour tour) as it will show most of what Prague has to offer.
